Sie trägt die Aufschrift „überranntes Schlachtfeld“ und zeigt ein Feld auf dem nur einzelne Gegenstände - ein Schuh, ein Gewehr - zu erkennen sind; im Hintergrund sieht man einige Häuser. Die Fotografie wurde nicht als Feldpost versandt, auf der Rückseite wurde vermerkt: "Deutsche Stellung in Balaceanul (Gefecht)". Gemeint ist wohl Bălăceanu im Nordosten Rumäniens. --- Fotografie je nadepsána místem pořízení „Rumunsko“ a je datována prosincem roku 1916. Na fotografii je nápis „bitevní pole po boji“ a zachycuje pole, na kterém lze rozpoznat jen několik předmětů – botu, zbraň. V pozadí lze vidět domy. Fotografie nebyla poslána jako pohled, na zadní straně bylo poznamenáno: „německá pozice v Balaceanulu (bitva)“, čímž je míněno Bălăceanu na severovýchodě Rumunska.
