Bayerische Reserve-Infanterieregiment 7. Kompagnie. Die Kompagnie wurde in einem Innenhof fotografiert, in der Mitte erkennt man den Kompagnieführer Anton Reus auf einem Pferd. Zwei Frauen beobachten die Szenerie aus einem Fenster heraus. Die Fotografie wurde nicht als Feldpost verschickt. Ein Vermerk auf der Vorderseite verrät uns allerdings die Datierung auf das Jahr 1916 und der Stempel des Fotografen auf der Rückseite "J. Christoph. Photograph. Colmar i. E." gibt einen Hinweis auf die Stationierung der Kompagnie in den französischen Vogesen. --- Tato fotografie zobrazuje 7. kompanii Královského bavorského záložního pěšího pluku č. 18. Kompanie byla fotografována ve dvoře kasáren, uprostřed lze rozpoznat velitele kompanie Antona Reuse na svém koni. Dvě ženy celou událost pozorují z okna. Fotografie nebyla odeslána poštou. Nicméně poznámka na přední straně nám prozrazuje datum jejího pořízení – rok 1916 – a z razítka fotografa na zadní straně - "J. Christoph. Photograph. Colmar i. E.". - se dozvídáme o umístění kompanie ve francouzských Vogézech. Hier war er die meiste Zeit stationiert. Der Brief ist auf den 13. Februar 1915 datiert. Die erste erhaltene Postkarte an seine Frau hatte er in Rheinland-Pfalz verfasst, sie ist undatiert. Glaser erzählt hierin seiner Frau, welche Aufgaben er im Garnisonsdienst erfüllen muss, für den er tauglich befunden worden war. Er bietet sie um die Zusendung von Zigarren und Wollsocken und gibt ihr Anweisungen, wie sie einige Geldzahlungen erledigen solle. Offenbar hatte sie sich in einem vorherigen Brief Sorgen gemacht, ob er seine Christenpflicht erfüllen könne und er beruhigt sie “Es ist auch im Elsaß der nämliche Herrgot wie bei uns.”. Transkription des Briefes siehe unten. --- Tento dopis je první z mnoha, které napsal Andreas Glaser své ženě Marii z Eckbolsheimu poblíž Štrasburku, kde pobýval většinu času. Vůbec první pohlednici, kterou Maria od Andrease obdržela, napsal v Porýní-Falci, zapomněl ji však opatřit datem. Andreas Glaser byl shledán schopným pro výkon posádkové služby. V dopise ze 13. února 1915 vypráví své ženě o úkolech, které musí v rámci posádkové služby plnit, prosí ji o zaslání doutníků a vlněných ponožek a vysvětluje, jak se provádějí některé peněžní platby. Maria Glaserová si očividně dělala v předchozím dopise obavy, zda má její muž možnost plnit svou křesťanskou povinnost, ten ji ujistil „že i v Alsasku je stejný Pán Bůh jako u nás.“ Přepis dopisu (německy): "Eckbolsheim, den 13. Feb. 1915 Liebe Mari! Ich muß Dir mitteilen, es ist gestern ein Bataillons-Befehl gekommen, wenn zum Beispiel jemand zu Hause schwer erkrankt oder ein Todesfall vorkommen würde, so müsstet ihr auf die Ersatzbatterie in Eckbolsheim telegrafieren, dann bekomme ich Urlaub. Aber bei dem Telegramm muß schon beigefügt werden: Amtliche Bestätigung folgt. Denn das muß dann von der Gemeinde nachgeschickt werden. Aber jetzt braucht es noch nicht, ich schreib es nur, daß wenn was vorkommen soll, daß Du es weißt, was Du machen mußt. Jetzt gewöhne ich mich schon besser ein, aber am Anfang hat mir gar nichts gefallen. Dienst haben wir sehr wenig, im Vormittag 2 bis 3 Stunden u. Nachmittag auch so was, aber nur keine Freude hat man halt nicht mehr daran, und wie Du jetzt geschrieben hast, was das ist, Garnisonsdienst, das ist, daß ich muß auch Exerzieren und alles mitmachen wie die anderen. Nur wenn einige fort müssen, nach Belgien, Antwerpen oder Russland, da kommen die fort, die Felddienst tauglich sind, und in die Feuerstellung da komme ich nie, da brauchst keine Angst zu haben. Heute habe ich gehört, daß es 26 Tausend Russen gefangen haben sollen es ist von 8 bis 10 Uhr gebracht worden. Liebe Mari, keinen Hunger habe ich nicht, zu Essen haben wir genug.
