Juni 1898 in Moldautein (Týn nad Vltavou) geboren. Das Gymnasium besuchte er in Budweis, verließ jedoch die Schule, um in der österreichischen Armee im Ersten Weltkrieg zu kämpfen. Nach dem Krieg konnte er sein Abitur nachholen. Das Porträtfoto zeigt ihn als Abiturienten 1919. In der Audiodatei spricht Jitka Saková, die Tochter von Vít Janeček über das Abiturfoto ihres Vaters.
