Sie fragt nach der Gesundheit ihrer Eltern und Schwestern, nach den Kindern der Schwester, dem Onkel usw. Sie teilt ihren Eltern auch mit, dass Justýna zu ihr zu Besuch kam, die sich im Herbst auf den Weg nach Hause macht und falls sie bei ihnen vorbei kommt, bittet sie sie, dass sie ihr Grüße ausrichten.

Sie fragt nach ihren Eltern, dem Neffen František und nach ihrem kleinen Brüderchen Francek, der im Krieg ist, und nach ihrem Onkel, den sie mit ihrem Brief gerne eine Freude machen möchte.

Marie Ilma se v dopise omlouvá, že nemůže rodičům poslat žádnou svou podobenku, ale s dovolením matky představené jim posílá obrázek zemřelé sestry M. Assunty, která by měla být v blízké době prohlášena za svatou a na závěr přeje všem šťastné svátky vánoční.

Sie erinnert sich an den verstorbenen Onkel aus Lhotka und auch an die verstorbene Schwester Milina. Sie fragt nach dem Neffen Fanoušek und nach dem Schwager, der im Krieg ist, und bittet alle, dass sie für sie beten mögen. Marie Ilma entschuldigt sich, dass sie ihren Eltern kein Bild von sich schicken kann, aber mit Erlaubnis der ihr vorgesetzten Mutter Oberin sendet sie ein Bild der verstorbenen Schwester M. Assunta, die in naher Zukunft heilig gesprochen werden soll. Zum Schluss wünscht sie allen glückliche Weihnachtsfeiertage.

Über die genaue Entstehungsgeschichte der „eingerichteten Flaschen“ weiß Peter Mühlbauer nur wenig. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine weißglasige Flasche (vermutlich eine Weinflasche), bei der der Flaschenhals abgeschnitten wurde. In die Flasche schnitzte Anton Iglhaut eine Kreuzigungsgruppe und versah die Flasche mit der Aufschrift: „Andenken an die Schützengräben 1916 in Frankreich“. Die Kreuzigungsgruppe zeigt den gekreuzigten Jesus mit seiner Mutter Maria, zwei Engeln sowie den „Arma Chrisi“, den Leidenswerkzeugen Christi: Hammer, Beil, Lanze, Leiter, Laterne, Essigkanne, Stab mit Essigschwamm, Würfel, Zange, Schaufel, Hahn der Verleumdung, Totenschädel, mit Schwertern durchstochenes Herz.
Peter Mühlbauer weiß aus Familienerzählungen, dass sein Urgroßvater für jedes seiner fünf Kinder eine solche Flasche anfertigte und diese die Familie auch unbeschädigt erreichten. Aus der Aufschrift und den Erzählungen kann auch entnommen werden, dass Anton Iglhaut die Flaschen tatsächlich im Schützengraben anfertigte. Zum heutigen Zeitpunkt ist leider nur noch eine „eingerichtete Flasche“ erhalten geblieben, die sich im Besitz von Peter Mühlbauer befindet. Über den Verbleib der anderen vier Flaschen ist nichts bekannt.

O přesném původu „zdobených lahví“ ví Peter Mühlbauer jen málo. Jedná se o láhev z bílého skla (podle všeho láhev od vína) s odříznutým hrdlem. Anton Iglhaut umístil do láhve vyřezávanou scénu Ukřižování a opatřil láhev nápisem „Památka na zákopy 1916 ve Francii“. Scéna Ukřižování zobrazuje ukřižovaného Ježíše s Marií, dva anděly a „Arma Christi“, tj. nástroje Kristova umučení: kladivo, sekeru, kopí, žebřík, lucernu, konvici s octem, hůl s houbou namočenou v octě, kostky, kleště, lopatu, kohouta, lebku a meči probodnuté srdce.
Podle rodinných vyprávění zhotovil pradědeček Petera Mühlbauera jednu lahev pro každé ze svých pěti dětí. Z nápisů a vyprávění také vyplývá, že Anton Iglhaut lahve skutečně zhotovil v zákopech.
