Für Sepp Sager ist die Tonbandaufnahme, auf der sein Großvater über die Kriegserlebnisse berichtet, von besonderer Bedeutung. Er fertigte diese Aufnahme kurz vor dem 92. Geburtstag von Josef Markowetz an. --- V tomto rozhovoru vypráví Sepp Sager o válečných zkušenostech a návratu svého dědečka Josefa Markowtze. Markowetz, který pocházel z Vimperku na Šumavě, se již v roce 1914 dostal do ruského zajetí, ze kterého se vrátil teprve v roce 1920. Nahrávka na magnetonové pásce, na které jeho dědeček vypráví o svých zážitcích z války, má pro Seppa Sagera neobyčejný význam. Tuto nahrávku pořídil těsně před 92. narozeninami Josefa Markowtze. Drei der vier Brüder der Familie Janeček kämpften im Ersten Weltkrieg: František, Vojtěch und Vít wurden zunächst in die österreichische Armee eingezogen. Vít kämpfte im 91er Regiment an der italienischen Front, František und Vojtěch jedoch liefen später in Russland zur Tschechoslowakischen Legion über und kehrten erst 1920 zurück. In dem Interview erzählt Jitka Saková von den familiären Erinnerungsstücken aus der Zeit des Ersten Weltkriegs. Übersetzung des tschechischen Originals: „Also das sind Fotografien aus dem Familienarchiv aus der Zeit des Ersten Weltkriegs, leider sind über die langen Jahre nur wenige von ihnen erhalten geblieben, das sind eher Fragmente und darum geben wir in der Familie umso mehr auf sie Acht. Ja und ich kann noch sagen, dass mein Vater nicht viel darüber sprach, wie es damals, als ich noch jung war, üblich war. Es war üblich, dass die Eltern den Kindern ganz wenig über ihre Vergangenheit erzählten.“ --- Jitka Saková je dcerou Víta Janečka. Tři ze čtyř bratrů Janečkových bojovali v první světové válce: František, Vojtěch a Vít nejprve narukovali do rakousko-uherské armády. Vít bojoval v řadách 91. pluku na italské frontě, nicméně František a Vojtěch později přeběhli k československým legiím v Rusku a vrátili se teprve v roce 1920 domů. V tomto rozhovoru vypráví Jitka Saková o rodinných pamětihodnostech z období 1. světové války. Přepis záznamu: „No jsou to fotografie z rodinného archivu z doby tedy první světové války, bohužel se jich uchovalo poměrně málo za ta dlouhá léta, jsou to spíš jen trosky a o to víc je teď rodině opatrujeme. No ještě můžu říct, že otec o tom moc nemluvil, jak to bylo v tehdejší době, ještě když já jsem byla mladá. Aug. 1894 in Kirchberg, bei der Mobilmachung wohnhaft in Kleinloitzenried, Sohn des zu Dornhof verstorbenen Gütlers Michael Kronschnabl und dessen zu Zell wohnhaften Ehefrau Karoline, geborene Preißl. Am 25. Januar 1915 wurde er zum Heeresdienst ein-berufen und dem 11. Infanterieregiment 12. Kompanie in Regensburg zugeteilt. Ende Juni 1915 kam er ins Feld. Der Leutnant und Kompanieführer der 12. Kompanie, teilte mit, dass der Infanterist Konrad Kronschnabl eine große Anzahl von Gefechten unverwundet mitgemacht hatte. Am 21. Feb. 1916 ist er zu St. Michiel (Frankreich) durch ein Granate im Unterstand verschüttet worden und dadurch erstickt. Er wurde auf dem Militärfriedhof St. Michiel beerdigt. Zwei weitere Brüder Georg und Michael mussten in diesem unsinnigen Krieg ebenfalls ihr Leben lassen.
