Velkou část let 1915 a 1916 strávil Anton Reus na západní frontě ve francouzských Vogézech. Odtud si přivezl také několik vzkazů, které francouzští vojáci vzahovali německým vojákům do zákopů.
Text se dá jen těžko rozluštit, překlad části textu zní: „Kamarádi, dnes odtud odejdeme… ale přesto se neukazujte. Je možné, že se jednoho dne vrátíme. Vaši francouzští kamarádi“.

Lasst euch nicht sehen bis wir es euch sagen werden, wir haben strenge Befehle! (sagt das euren Kameraden) Vielen Dank für die Zigarren und Zigaretten.“

Velkou část let 1915 a 1916 strávil Anton Reus na západní frontě ve francouzských Vogézech. Odtud si přivezl také několik vzkazů, které francouzští vojáci házeli německým vojákům do zákopů.
Překlad tohoto vzkazu zní: „Nemáme už žádné konzervy, nicméně vám slibujeme, že vám jich co nejvíc pošleme, až je zase budeme mít. Neukazujte se, dokud vám neřekneme, máme přísné rozkazy (řekněte to vaším kamarádům) Mnoho díků za ty doutníky a cigarety“.

Die Fotografie zeigt das 18. Bayerische Reserve-Infanterieregiment 7. Kompagnie. Die Kompagnie wurde in einem Innenhof fotografiert, in der Mitte erkennt man den Kompagnieführer Anton Reus auf einem Pferd. Zwei Frauen beobachten die Szenerie aus einem Fenster heraus.
Die Fotografie wurde nicht als Feldpost verschickt. Ein Vermerk auf der Vorderseite verrät uns allerdings die Datierung auf das Jahr 1916 und der Stempel des Fotografen auf der Rückseite "J. Christoph. Photograph. Colmar i. E." gibt einen Hinweis auf die Stationierung der Kompagnie in den französischen Vogesen.

Tato fotografie zobrazuje 7. kompanii Královského bavorského záložního pěšího pluku č. 18. Kompanie byla fotografována ve dvoře kasáren, uprostřed lze rozpoznat velitele kompanie Antona Reuse na svém koni. Dvě ženy celou událost pozorují z okna.
Fotografie nebyla odeslána poštou. Nicméně poznámka na přední straně nám prozrazuje datum jejího pořízení – rok 1916 – a z razítka fotografa na zadní straně - "J. Christoph. Photograph. Colmar i. E.". - se dozvídáme o umístění kompanie ve francouzských Vogézech.

Die Postkarte zeigt einen Soldaten neben einem kleinen Weihnachtsbaum sitzend. Der Text auf der Rückseite verrät die Datierung der Karte: „Meinem lb. Mitkämpfer zur frdl. Erinnerung an seinen Führer; Weihnachten 1915; Leutn. d. R. K. f. 7/18“.
Weihnachten 1915 war Anton Reus´ "Res.-Inf.Regt. No 18. 7. Kompagnie" (so der Stempel auf der Rückseite) in den Hochvogesen in Frankreich eingesetzt, er muss also die Weihnachtszeit dort verbracht haben.

Tento pohled zachycuje vojáka sedícího vedle vánočního stromečku. Text na zadní straně prozrazuje datum pořízení fotografie: „Mému spolubojovníkovi jako vzpomínka na jeho velitele, Vánoce 1915, plukovník d. R. K. f. 7/18“.
O Vánocích roku 1915 byla kompanie Antona Reuse (dle razítka na zadní straně konkrétně "Res.-Inf.Regt. No 18. 7. Kompagnie") nasazena ve Vogézech ve Francii.

Die Fotografie ist beschriftet mit der Ortsangabe "Rumänien" und datiert auf Dezember 1916. Sie trägt die Aufschrift „überranntes Schlachtfeld“ und zeigt ein Feld auf dem nur einzelne Gegenstände - ein Schuh, ein Gewehr - zu erkennen sind; im Hintergrund sieht man einige Häuser.
Die Fotografie wurde nicht als Feldpost versandt, auf der Rückseite wurde vermerkt: "Deutsche Stellung in Balaceanul (Gefecht)". Gemeint ist wohl Bălăceanu im Nordosten Rumäniens.

Fotografie je nadepsána místem pořízení „Rumunsko“ a je datována prosincem roku 1916. Na fotografii je nápis „bitevní pole po boji“ a zachycuje pole, na kterém lze rozpoznat jen několik předmětů – botu, zbraň. V pozadí lze vidět domy.
Fotografie nebyla poslána jako pohled, na zadní straně bylo poznamenáno: „německá pozice v Balaceanulu (bitva)“, čímž je míněno Bălăceanu na severovýchodě Rumunska.

Die Fotografie zeigt Soldaten, die durch eine verschneiten Winterlandschaft marschieren. Aus den Beschriftungen lässt sich erkennen, dass es sich um die Vogesen im Jahr 1915 handeln muss.
Die Beschreibung neben dem Foto lautet: „Ausmarsch zum 1. Gefecht der Feldwache Rain; Heil Sieg!“ Unter dem Foto ist zu lesen: „bisherige Hochvogesen-Gefechte“. Danach folgt die Auflistung der Gefechte mit der entsprechenden Zeitangabe: „Obersengern 2.3.15; Altmattkopf 19.2.; ??? 21.2.; Röspel 2. u. 3.; Reichsackerkopf 6-9.3.; Klängle 11. 3.“
Die Fotografie wurde nicht als Feldpost versandt, die Rückseite ist leer. Der Besitzer Anton Reus hat sie offenbar verwendet, um die überstandenen Gefechte zu notieren.

Fotografie ukazuje vojáky, kteří pochodují zimní krajinou. Z popisků lze usoudit, že se jedná o Vogézy v roce 1915.
Popisek vedle fotky zní: „Pochod k prvnímu boji polní hlídky Rain. Sláva vítězství!“. Pod fotografií stojí: „dosavadní boje ve Vogézech“. Poté následuje výčet bojů s odpovídajícím datem: „Obersengern 2.3.15; Altmattkopf 19.2.; ??? 21.2.; Röspel 2. u. 3.; Reichsackerkopf 6-9.3.; Klängle 11. 3.“
Tato fotografie nebyla odeslána poštou, neboť je zadní strana prázdná. Její vlastník, Anton Reus, jí zřejmě využil k poznamenání bitev, které přestál.
