Přijměte ode mne srdčný pozdrav a stálou vzpomínku. Dnes právě jsem obdržel od Vás dva dopisy, píšete mi, že ode mne nic nedotáváte a já přece píši dost často. Dne 1. března jsme opustili naše místo, kam teď půjdem sám nevím. Šulista je v nemocnici, není s ním však zle, má jen omrzlé nohy. Piště zas brzy a hodně toho.

Přijměte ode mne srdečný pozdrav a stálou vzpomínku. Jsem zdráv; zdali i Vy jste zdrávi a jak se Vám vede? Kdy se asi zas konečně uhlídáme? Alespoň kdyby to bylo do zimy. Musíme čekati, až se dočkáme. Odepište, neb jsem od Vás již dávno žádné zprávy nedostal.

Empfangt von mir einen herzlichen Gruß und meinen beständigen Gedanken. Ich bin gesund; seid ihr etwa auch gesund und wie ergeht es Euch? Wann werden wir uns wohl endlich wiedersehen? Wenn das wenigstens im Winter sein könnte. Wir müssen warten, bis wir uns treffen. Schreibt zurück, ich habe von Euch schon lange keine Nachrichten mehr erhalten.
