Marie Janečková, die Älteste der Geschwister, wurde am 6. März 1891 in Moldautein (Týn nad Vltavou) geboren. Auch sie traf der Erste Weltkrieg hart: Ihr Verlobter wurde eingezogen und kehrte nicht aus dem Krieg zurück. Sie heiratete nicht mehr und entschied sich für den Beruf der Lehrerin, den damals nur ledige Frauen ausüben durften. Die Fotografie ist eine Studioaufnahme des k.u.k. Hoffotografen A. Wildt in Písek.

Marie Janečková, nejstarší ze sourozenců se narodila 6. března 1891 v Týně nad Vltavou. Také ona byla první světovou válkou velmi tvrdě zasažena: Její snoubenec narukoval do armády a z války se již nevrátil. Nikdy se nevdala a rozhodla se pro povolání učitelky, které v této době směly vykonávat pouze svobodné ženy. Fotografie byla pořízena v ateliéru c. a k. dvorního fotografa A. Wildta v Písku.

Der jüngste Bruder der Familie, Vít Janeček, wurde am 14. Juni 1898 in Moldautein (Týn nad Vltavou) geboren. Er verließ das Gymnasium, um in die österreichische Armee einzurücken und kämpfte an der italienischen Front.
Als Erinnerung an seine Kriegserfahrung schenkte er seinem Sohn Jiří das wohl berühmteste Buch, das von der Not der jungen Männer im Krieg berichtet - „Im Westen nichts Neues“ von Erich Maria Remarque. Die Widmung lautet: „Vzpomínka Jiříkovi od starého kamaráda - táty, který mnoho podobného zažil na italské frontě 1916-1917. Isonzo San Gabriele.“ / „Erinnerung für Jiřík von dem alten Kameraden – dem Vater, der viel Ähnliches an der italienischen Front 1916-1917 erlebte. Isonzo San Gabriele.“
In den beiden Interviewausschnitten erzählt Jitka Saková über ihren Vater:
„Am meisten schätze ich die Fotografie, auf der mein Vater, Vít Janeček in einem Schützengraben an der italienischen Front, Isonzo – San Gabriele ist, sie ist vermutlich aus dem Jahr 16 bis 17 (oder 17). Ansonsten ist es in der Tat ein Dokument, von denen es von der italienischen Front wohl nicht sehr viele gibt.“
"Ich kann dazu noch sagen, dass mein Vater nicht viel darüber sprach, wie es damals, als ich noch jung war, üblich war. Es war üblich, dass die Eltern den Kindern ganz wenig über ihre Vergangenheit erzählten.“

Nejmladší bratr z rodiny Janečkových, Vít Janeček, narozen 14. června 1898 v Týně nad Vltavou. Do řad rakousko-uherské armády narukoval přímo ze školních lavic, byl nasazen na italské frontě.
Jako vzpomínku na své válečné působení věnoval svému synovi Jiřímu zřejmě nejznámější knihu, která pojednává o utrpení mladých mužů v první světové válce – „Na západní frontě klid“ od Ericha Marii Remarqua. Věnování zní: „Vzpomínka Jiříkovi od starého kamaráda - táty, který mnoho podobného zažil na italské frontě 1916-1917. Isonzo San Gabriele.“
V obou nahrávkách vypráví Jitka Saková o svém otci:
„Nejvíce si cením fotografie, kde je můj otec, Vít Janeček v zákopu na italské frontě, Isonzo - San Gabriele, je to asi z roku 16 až 17 (nebo 17). Jinak je to opravdu dokument, kterých asi opravdu moc není z té italské fronty.“
„No ještě můžu říci, že otec o tom moc nemluvil, jak to bylo v tehdejší době, když já jsem byla mladá. Jak to bylo zvykem, že rodiče se dětem moc nesvěřovali se svojí minulostí a tak dále.“
