Freyung-Grafenau) besitzt einige Erinnerungsstücke an ihren Onkel Franz Waldhauser, den Bruder ihrer Mutter, der im Ersten Weltkrieg kämpfte. Sie wusste viel über ihre Familie und auch den Menschen Josef Waldhauser und seine Lebensumstände zu erzählen, angefangen von seiner schulischen Ausbildung bis hin zu seinem Tode im Lazarett in der Kriegsgefangenschaft. Ihren Bericht können Sie in mehreren Teilen nachhören: Interview Teil 1-3 , Interview Teil 4-5.
Das Dokument ist ein „Vormerkblatt über Nachlasseffekten von gefallenen oder verstorbenen Angehörigen des Heeres“. Die ausstellende Behörde war damals das Nachlaßreferat II des K.u.k. Militärkommandos der Josefskaserne in Prag II. Auf der Vorderseite sind alle persönliche Daten von Franz Waldhauser vermerkt, die Tabelle war wie bei jedem Formular bereits vorgedruckt. Auf der Rückseite sind verschiedenen handschriftliche Vermerke sowie ein Stempel in rot, Druckbuchstaben in blau und Signaturen. Die blaue Schrift benennt den Nachlass von einer Zigarrendose, einer Geldtasche, einer Uhrkette und eine Note (Anleihe).

V rodinném archivu Marie Scholzové z Riedlhütte (okres Freyung-Grafenau) se nachází několik vzpomínkových předmětů od jejího strýce Franze Waldhausera, bratra její matky, který bojoval v první světové válce. Marie Scholzová vypráví mnoho o své rodině, stejně jako o osobě Josefa Waldhausera a jeho životních okolnostech, počínaje jeho školním vzděláním až po jeho smrt v lazaretu ve válečném zajetí. Tento „záznamový arch o pozůstatkových poměrech padlých nebo zemřelých příslušníků vojska“ byl vystaven referátem pro pozůstalost II. císařského a královského vojenského komanda Josefské kasárny v Praze II. Na přední straně jsou zaznamenána všechna osobní data Franze Waldhausera, tabulka byla u každého formuláře již předtištěná. Na zadní straně jsou různé ruční záznamy a červené razítko podpisy a Modře natištěné záznamy jmenující pozůstalost: dóza na doutníky, peněženka, řetízek k hodinkám a zápis o půjčce.
