Sie hat auch eine Ausgabe der Bayerischen Waldzeitung aufbewahrt. \r\n\r\nDie Bayerische Waldzeitung/das Zwieseler Tagblatt ist das Lokalblatt für Zwiesel und den Grenzbezirk sowie das Amtsblatt des Stadtmagistrats Zwiesel; so ist es in der Überschrift auf Seite 1 abgedruckt. Sie ist datiert auf Sonntag, den 16. Dezember 1917. Die Seiten sind leicht gelb und löchrig, ansonsten gut erhalten, aber sehr porös und behutsam zu behandeln. In der Mitte ist sie bereits durchgerissen und die beiden Teile wurden für die Fotografie zusammengelegt.\r\n\r\nSie beinhaltet auf 4 Seiten zahlreiche Artikel über den Krieg, u.A. Berichte von Schlachten, Karikaturen und zeichnerische Erklärungen, Propaganda, aber auch Werbung für Kriegsversicherungen und Kriegsanleihen sowie alltägliche Nachrichten und Werbung für zivile Produkte für Handwerk, Industrie und Haushalt.\r\n\r\n---\r\n\r\nPaní Marie Scholzová vlastní několik vzpomínkových předmětů od svého strýce Franze Waldhausera, bratra její matky, který bojoval v první světové válce. Vlastní také jedno vydání „Bavorských lesních“ novin.\r\n   \r\nZwieselský deník je jak místním zpravodajem pro Zwiesel a přilehlou příhraniční oblast, tak i úředním věstníkem magistrátu města Zwiesel, jak také stojí na 1. stránce. Noviny jsou datovány na neděli 16. prosince 1917. Stránky jsou lehce nažloutlé a proděravělé, jinak však dobře zachované, ale velice porézní a musí být s nimi opatrně zacházeno. Noviny jsou uprostřed již protržené a oba díly byly pro pořízení fotografie složeny.   \r\n    \r\nNa 4 stránkách obsahují noviny mnoho článků o válce, mimo jiné zprávy z bitev, karikatury a kreslená vysvětlení, propagandu, ale také reklamu na válečné pojištění a válečné půjčky, denní zprávy a reklamu na civilní výrobky pro řemeslníky, průmysl a domácnost. Mit gerade einmal 18 Jahren und 9 Monaten fand Ludwig Hackl den Tod an der Westfront als militärischer Pionier in der ersten Kampfreihe durch einen Giftgasangriff. Das Sterbedatum (18. Juli 1918) und die Information: \"Soldat bei einem bayer. Pionier-Rgt.\", lassen darauf schließen, dass Ludwig Hackl höchstwahrscheinlich während der Operation Marneschutz-Reims vom 15. bis 18. Juli als die fünfte und letzte Angriffsoperation im Zuge der sogenannten deutschen Frühjahrsoffensive von 1918 an vorderster Front im Einsatz war.\r\nAls einfacher Soldat stand Ludwig Hackl unter dem Oberbefehl des Generalfeldmarschalls Paul von Hindenburg (1847 – 1934) und seines Stabschefs und Stellvertreters, dem General der Infanterie und Ersten Generalquartiermeister Erich Ludendorff (1865 – 1937). Im Gesamtkontext des großen europäischen Krieges haben beide genannten Generäle als \"faktische Kriegsverbrecher\" (Vicente Such-Garcia) die menschliche Katastrophe der \"Verlorenen Generation\" in Europas totalem Krieg von deutscher Seite her in allerletzter Instanz zu verantworten.  In der förmlichen Militärdiktatur der Obersten Heeresleitung (OHL) unter Hindenburgs und Ludendorffs Führung von August 1916 bis November 1918 wurde das Mindestalter für die Rekruten auf 16 Jahren herabgesenkt und die Wehrpflicht auf ausnahmslos alle Männer zwischen dem vollendeten 16. und 60. Lebensjahr ausgedehnt. Ludwig Hackl aus dem Dorf Finsterau im Bayerischen Wald ist damit eines der Sinnbilder dieser im Ersten Weltkrieg sinnlos geopferten, \"verlorenen Generation\", welcher u.a. der Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge in Kooperation mit dem Bundesarchiv ein ganzes multimediales und interaktives pädagogisches Projekt widmet.\r\n\r\nDer Zusatz \"Oekonomsohn\" scheint die These des Historikers, Vize-Direktors und Hauptkonservators des Bayerischen Armeemuseums in Ingolstadt Dieter Storz zu bestätigen, wonach die im gesamten damaligen Deutschen Reich zuweilen übersteigerte Kriegsbegeisterung, jenes \"Augusterlebnis\" von 1914, in erster Linie ein groß-, klein-, massen- und bildungsbürgerliches, somit auch intellektuelles, akademisches und studentisches Phänomen war. Die jungen und unerfahrenen Rekruten, die in den letzten beiden Kriegsjahren 1917 und 1918 sich entweder noch kriegsfreiwillig meldeten, oder aber vor allem noch regulär eingezogen wurden, mussten ihre Grundausbildung als Soldaten in den Kasernen und an den Waffen im Schnelldurchlauf absolvieren. Wie in allen anderen kriegführenden Staaten hatte die deutsche Jugend von August 1914 an in der Heimatfront ihren Kenntnisstand über den großen europäischen Krieg in erster Linie aus der Propaganda in Presse und Postkarten, Fotografien und Plakatbildern und sogar bereits aus den allerersten Lichtspielfilmen erworben. Mit der Kriegserklärung vom 27. August 1916 an Österreich-Ungarn wollte das Königreich Rumänien nun jene Regionen und Gebiete von der k.-u.-k. Hierzu zählten der größte Teil von Siebenbürgen, das Banat als Teil des Königreichs Ungarn und die Bukowina, die als Herzogtum ein österreichisches Kronland war. Mit Rumäniens Kriegseintritt an die Seite der Entente, d.h. an die Seite der westalleierten Mächte England und Frankreich und dem damals noch russischen Zarenreich, hatte sich der Verlauf der Ostfront endgültig bis zum Schwarzen Meer erweitert. Auf der Teilkarte aus den \"Münchner Neuesten Nachrichten\" von ca. 1917 ist die Front anhand der durchgehenden schwarzen Linie zu sehen, die vom Schwarzen Meer in das Landesinnere Rumäniens verläuft. Die Teilkarte suggeriert eine gewisse \"Einkeilung\" Rumäniens zwischen dem Königreich Ungarn im Süden und der ebenfalls rumänisch-sprachigen Region \"Bessarabien\", die als \"Gouvernement Bessarabien\" bis 1918 integrativer Bestandteil Russlands war.\r\n\r\nAls Reiter in der Leichten Kavallerie war Franz Bauers Großonkel Sepp Bauer Soldat in der 9. deutschen Armee unter dem Oberbefehl von Leopold Maximilian (1846 – 1930), Prinz von Bayern und Bruder Ludwigs III. (1845 – 1921), des letzten Königs von Bayern. Die 9. deutsche Armee war an der gesamten Ostfront im Einsatz gewesen: Dem Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte zufolge kämpfte Leopold Maximilian Prinz von Bayern als „Oberbefehlshaber der 9. deutschen Armee“ zunächst unter dem Oberbefehlshaber Ost und königlich-preußischen Generalfeldmarschall Paul von Hindenburg (1847-1934) „im Osten und wurde nach dessen Eintritt in die Oberste Heeresleitung (OHL) ab Sommer 1916 zusätzlich Oberbefehlshaber des Oberkommandos Ost, also aller Truppen an der Ostfront“.\r\n(Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte.
